St. Vincent de Paul Society

"The Church's love for the poor...is a part of her constant tradition."  This love is inspired by the Gospel of the Beatitudes of the poverty of Jesus, and of his concern for the poor.  In keeping with this tradition, St. Andrew the Apostle Church, desires to form and organize a St. Vincent de Paul Society in order to serve those who are in need.  Volunteers are needed to assist in this process of formation and eventually to serve others.  This is a wonderful opportunity to prayerfully consider being a part of this wonder new endeavor.  Anyone interested in participating may call Linda Wilson, at 815-372-9907 or Jack Frazier at 815-919-3233.  "So faith, hope, charity abide, these three.  But the greatest of these is charity." 1Cor 13:13   Please refer to the bulletin for meeting places and times.
